Business Intelligence

The term Business Intelligence became popular in the early 1990s and it means procedures and processes for the systematic analysis (collection, evaluation and representation) of data in electronic form.

The goal is the discoveries which allow to make better short-term or strategic decisions based on a company’s goals. This is reached with analytic concepts and IT systems which evaluate the data of a company, competitors or market development depending on what knowledge is needed.

With the gained knowledge the companies can optimize business processes, make customer and supplier relations more effective, lower costs, minimize risks and increase the added value.
