Media Search

The Media Search module allows for the use of digital sources to generate information on a particular topic, whether it's a potential customer, supplier, employee, etc. Any information sources such as Google, web media, special sources (e.g. LexisNexis, OpenCorporate, public registers, etc.) are searched through the Media Search module. The sources to be searched are defined based on the research objective and customer requirements (e.g. only sources from official government agencies), thereby preventing the consideration of fake news.

Depending on the use case, a set of keywords (predefined and user-defined) are processed along with the input value of the subject being searched (e.g. names of natural persons, company names) using a finely tuned natural language processing approach to find relevant documents. For each document, a risk or opportunity score and sentiment are calculated. The sentiment score indicates whether a found document is more positive or negative. Additionally, the system calculates an overall score across all found documents. This allows for the automation of manual research tasks, enabling users to focus on the most important (relevant) cases.

During a manual investigation, the user marks the documents they consider relevant and can add them directly to the file of investigation documents. This ensures complete documentation and traceability of the activities performed.

Overall, the Media Search module expands the analytical 360-degree view of the company within the holistic "Understand Your Stakeholder" approach. It enables early detection and effective, timely prevention of risks, and the utilisation of opportunities. The seamless interaction with the Profiling, Behavioural Analysis, Transaction Monitoring, Name Screening, and Link Analysis modules ensures a comprehensive view.
